Winter walks in the Mittenwald mountains
Nature lures with crystal clear air, sparkling snow, blue skies and sunshine. This is pure vacation!
After a leisurely breakfast at the Sonnenbichl you can ski down the Kranzberg or enjoy cross-country skiing, you can glide on touring skis or walk with your snowshoes through the snowy forest or use skates to circle on the frozen lakes.
Mittenwald experts think that a vacation is worth it in every season, but the winter season is the most attractive, it is more versatile: Festive Christmas and New Year’s Eve, quiet and contemplative in the first weeks of the New Year and happy and joyful in the carnival season.
Mittenwald offers a variety of winter sport facilities. Most guests prefer to walk through the snowy winter forest in Mittenwald around the Hohen Kranzberg. On well cleared paths you can use all trails.
Touring ski fans ascend through snowy, lonely woods and find many opportunities to ski down in deep snow. At the mountain inn St. Anton starts a 7 km long natural toboggan run. And on the north side of the Kranzberg you will find well-prepared ski run for a true winter pleasure.
